A final workshop of the project 'Smart Elements for Sustainable Building Envelopes' (SESBE) funded by the European Commission (contract number 608950) will be held in Madrid, Spain on the 22nd of November, 2016. The workshop will present results from the SESBE project but also highlight recent developments on the building sector, including other European projects.

The EU funded projects ECO-SEE and [H]house will hold a cluster workshop, discussing the role of clay materials for an improved indoor air quality at the LEHM 2016. Pete Walker (University of Bath), Matthias Richter (BAM) and Andrea Klinge (Roswag Architekten) will present latest project results with regards to moisture buffering of natural building materials, materials emissions as well as the adsorption of airborne pollutants.

Patrick Fontana (BAM) presented the H-House concrete solutions for the building envelope at the 1st Building Material Congress Serbija (beton), at the Magacin Macura in Stari Banovci. H-House UHPC and TRC composite elements with functionalized surfaces were exhibited to the congress participants in an accompanying exposition of innovative concrete products.

The international UNESCO congress Terra 2016 is the twelfth in a series of international events organized since 1972, bringing together academics, professionals and experts, and a broad audience gathering around earthen architecture.
